Friday, May 29, 2020:

As the school year winds down, this will be the last newsletter for the 2019-2020 school year. Below are important dates and updates for your family.

Monday, June 1st

We are inviting you to take part in our send-off parade on Monday, June 1, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. for pre-school–5th-grade families. We have all been missing you and want to see you one more time and wish you well for summer!

Our plan is for families to drive their vehicles and enter the Holy Ghost parking lot at the corner of Lemon St and West 30th, where our faculty and staff will be ready with a wave and a smile. We ask that you stay in your vehicle, but please stop for a short time to say hello. The parade of cars will exit in the alley between Holy Ghost school and Holy Spirit parish.

Last Day of School

The last official day of school will be Tuesday, June 2nd. Teachers will still hold their scheduled Zoom sessions on June 1st and 2nd.

Any personal items your child may have left in the building will be packaged for pick-up and labeled with his or her name. Contact your child's teacher if there are any items that you are unsure of that need returning.

Materials will be exchanged curbside. Please drive-up to the front door of Holy Ghost located on W. 30th Street and a staff member will bring your items to your car and collect items you are returning.

Busing More information about the site-to-site busing offered from Holy Ghost and St. Anthony next year will be coming this summer. Be sure to check your email regularly throughout the summer months for information and sign-up.

Pen Pals and Mentor Families When new 1st-5th grade students enroll at St. Columbkille and Resurrection, we like to have a current student in their grade write them a letter of welcome, so that they may get to know another child in their class. Once you have confirmed your school for next year, we will arrange for a pen pal to send a note to your child. That said, we will also be offering the opportunity for new families to connect with an existing St. Columbkille or Resurrection family to get to know the community and have additional questions answered. If you are interested in having a mentor family reach out to you please complete one of the following forms:

Wrap-Around Care for 2020-2021 If families are interested in before and after care for the 2020-2021 academic year, please contact the early childhood director at the site in which your child to attend. Before and after care will be provided at Holy Ghost before and after bus pickups for students attending Resurrection or St. Columbkille. Families will also need to designate if their child(ren) will attend Holy Ghost Early Childhood during non-school days. Please contact your early childhood director for the necessary paperwork.
