Parish Advent Opportunities

This year, Holy Family is actively searching for opportunities to support the vibrancy of our parish communities by encouraging family involvement.

In place of our annual Advent Night gathering, we have chosen to use our resources to urge families to become involved in parish life. Our parishes offer an abundance of ways to be involved at this time of year, whether it be service-related, reconciliation, or other avenues to Encounter Christ as we joyfully anticipate the celebration of His birth.

All are welcome to take part in the following opportunities to become involved in parish life this Advent season:

Church of the Resurrection

Church of the Nativity

Family Holy Hour – 5:30 p.m. on dates listed below

All are invited to participate in Nativity's "kid-friendly" Holy Hour. The event will include Eucharistic Adoration with music, followed by a light meal and community fellowship. What makes this event "kid-friendly"? When you think of adoration, you might imagine a silent time spent in prayer. However, by inviting families to bring their children of all ages, Nativity is encouraging families to experience His presence together in peaceful – but perhaps not totally silent – prayer. A little noise okay and expected!

These Friday after-work prayer and community gatherings will be held approximately every-other-week, as follows:

  • 5:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15, 2019
  • 5:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, 2019
  • 5:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20, 2019
  • 5:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, 2020
  • 5:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17, 2020
  • 5:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31, 2020

Stay tuned to the calendar for future dates!
