Close-Knit Community

At St. Columbkille, we’ve maintained a traditional neighborhood school environment, and we truly consider our students, staff and parents family. We worship together, support each other and place high value on a mutual respect for one another. Our students benefit tremendously from the partnerships we have with our parents, parish and local higher education institutions. We know you and your child will feel a welcoming sense of home within our community.

Challenging Curriculum

Using the Holy Family core curriculum, our devoted staff is trained to differentiate instruction in a way that cultivates your child’s gifts and motivates each child to reach his or her fullest potential. We offer resource programs for special-needs students and accelerated learning programs to ensure that students are performing at their highest ability.

Professional Development School

Education students from Loras College receive practical experience in our classrooms, which provides our students with additional one-on-one adult assistance.

Abundant Technology

Technology is a mainstay in our students’ lives and provides many advantages in the classroom. Like all of Holy Family’s schools, we are fully equipped for 21st century learning, with interactive whiteboards in every classroom and mobile computer labs that can easily bring a laptop to every student in a classroom for targeted instruction, research and interactive learning.

High Expectations

We challenge our students not only to be their best academically, but also personally. In 2011, the level at which our students are achieving was recognized by the National Department of Education, and we were named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. In addition to the religious component of our curriculum, we’re a Leader in Me™ school, which means we implement the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into our curriculum. This encourages students to become their best self by practicing authentic character and leadership building skills in daily experiences.
