Personalized Learning Performance Metrics

While the efficacy of our Personalized Learning model cannot be captured in a number, statistic, or single report, we recognize the importance of performance metrics in helping to identify academic achievement within this program cohort.

Key Pillars for Success Beyond the Data

Cognitive Skills

Through hands-on project-based learning students learn to apply their understanding of content knowledge, connecting lessons to life beyond the classroom and practicing 36 21st-Century Cognitive Skills developed by the Standford Center for Assessment, Learning and Equity (SCALE).

Content Knowledge

Through teacher instruction, peer collaboration, or by working through curated materials, students set their own learning pace and take assessments on demand. Teachers target instruction individually and offer small-group and whole-class instruction based on real-time student assessment data. Students learn self-direction through a planful cycle of goal-setting, evidence of learning, feedback and reflection.

Mentoring & Habits of Success

Students reflect on their experiences with personal mentors each week to develop 16 habits of success that support academic achievement and well-being, including learning strategies, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. Weekly check-ins provide opportunities for ongoing feedback, allowing mentors to serve as trusted coaches and advocates for their student mentees.

Faith In Action

Fostering a sense of purpose through Faith in Action means students engage in relevant and meaningful enrichment experiences such as service projects and career exploration to more fully realize what they are called to do in life beyond high school.
